Rumalaas Presented at the Golden Temple
In Honor of Siri Singh Sahib Ji's Birthday
In honor of the Siri Singh Sahib Ji’s birthday, every year on August 26th, new Rumalaas are made and presented on the Guru Sahib at Harimandir Sahib, the Golden Temple, on the Sangat’s behalf. These beautiful rumalaas are made by Darshan Singh-Surinder Singh, the master Rumalaa makers in Amritsar. Their company makes the beautiful ornate Rumalaas that decorate the
Guru in the sanctum of Harimandir Sahib.
This important honoring and tradition of gifting new Rumalaas at Harimandir Sahib, for Siri Singh Sahib’s on his birthday, continues through Sikh Dharma Worldwide, by Sangat donations.
In celebration of Siri Singh Sahib Ji’s birthday, an Akhand Paath also is dedicated in his honor, and sweets are distributed to the Sangat. The students of Miri Piri Academy students often hand out the sweets near the Darshan Deori where Guru’s Prasad is given out.
Miri Piri Academy also assists with the coordination of the rumalaas with Darbar Sahib offices.
